Body of Work Heritage Podcast
Body of Work is the heritage podcast from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. This podcast is all about celebrating collaborations and celebrating them through medical heritage. Each episode will feature a different professional who has worked with us here at the heritage department; we chat about their work, and what drew them to it. We also geek out a bit on medical heritage! Feel free to email us with any questions: library@rcpsg.ac.ukFollow us on twitter: @rcpsgheritage

Episode 3
This week’s guest is Dr Cheryl McGeachan. Cheryl is a lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Glasgow with whom we have worked on several occasions. Her research interests include criminal-medical histories and geography, and she recently undertook a research project funded by the Carnegie Trust looking into police surgery in 19th century Scotland. We worked with her on this project to look into the career of Sir William Macewen. We chat about her ongoing research relationship with RD Laing, living in Glasgow, and who ultimately was the best police surgeon in Scotland.
